    The BIOSTAR B550MXC PRO AMD AM4 MICRO ATX MOTHERBOARD is a high-performance motherboard that supports the Socket AM4, making it compatible with AMD Ryzenâ„¢ 3rd Gen (Matisse/ Renoir) and Ryzenâ„¢ 4th Gen (Vermeer/ Cezanne) processors. Additionally, it can support future AMD Ryzen processors with a BIOS update. The motherboard has four DDR4 DIMM memory slots that can support non-ECC and ECC Un-buffered 8/ 16/ 32 GB DDR4 modules, with a maximum supported memory of up to 128 GB. It also features eight SATA III (6Gb/s) ports and two M.2 sockets, where each M.2 socket can support both PCIe 4.0/ 3.0x4 - NVMe/ AHCI and SATA 6Gb/s with different speed limits depending on the installed processor. The motherboard's LAN and audio are powered by Realtek RTL8111H and Realtek ALC897, respectively, providing users with a 10/ 100/ 1000 Mb/s auto-negotiation and 7.1 channels high definition audio output. In terms of connectivity, the motherboard comes with six USB 3.2 (Gen1), one USB 3.2 (Gen2) Type-C port, one USB 3.2 (Gen2) port, and six USB 2.0 ports.  The motherboard includes several expansion slots, including one PCIe 4.0 x16 Slot (x16 or x4/x4/x4/x4 mode) for AMD Ryzen 5000/3000 Series Processors or AMD Ryzen 5000 G/4000 G Series Processors, one PCIe 3.0 x16 slot (x16 or x8/x4/x4 mode), and three PCIe 3.0 x16 slots (x1 mode).  Furthermore, the motherboard has an internal I/O that includes eight SATA III (6.0Gb/s) connectors, one M.2 (E Key) socket for Wi-Fi and Bluetooth module, two USB 2.0 headers, one USB 3.2 (Gen1) header, and several other headers like front panel header, front audio header, clear CMOS header, S/PDIF out connector, COM port header, TPM header, and LED headers.
